The New Jersey Rheumatology Association (NJRA) is an organization of physicians, health professionals and scientists, particularly those from the state of New Jersey, that advances rheumatology through programs of education, research and advocacy that foster excellence in the care of people with arthritis, rheumatic and other musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases. The NJRA is the successor to the New Jersey Rheumatism Association, which was originally incorporated in 1948. The charter of same was revoked in 1987, unbeknownst to its constituency. The New Jersey Rheumatism Association continued to operate on an ad hoc basis until 2001. The NJRA was founded on May 9, 200I, to continue these worthwhile activities.
